Vinod Khosla is a rare breed of VC. I happened to attend one of his talks in TiE-Bangalore and it was fabulous. It also happened to be my first tie meeting. He presented his entrepreneurial journey with great passion and handled the questions in style. For me he appeared as much a socialist as a capitalist. I was amazed at the way he talked with ease about technical problems with current internet networking and benefits of microfinance organizations lending for buffalo buying to rural women in Guntur. He is a man of many varieties. One of his quotes that still linger around in my ears is “Success happens when opportunity meets preparation”
The recent economist article on the Khosla’s initiative to save the World from gasoline woes is worth noting. He is one of those individuals who dares to dream the dreams and care to make those dreams come true… In a way he is a true entrepreneur… Wishing him all the best in his new role …..
